3D stained glass and wood table top/mantlepiece sculpture. This piece was created as part of the 2016 "Merging Visions" show sponsored by the Visual Arts Society of Texas (VAST) and the Denton Poets Assembly (DPA). This sculpture is a one-of-a-kind illustration of a Beth Honeycutt poem concerning death, surprise, and transfiguration.
The stained glass wings are removable and hook onto the shoulders of the artist's manekin. The manekin has been carved and painted into a skeletal form, and human hair from both the artist and the poet complete the sculpture. All parts of the manekin are moveable, so you can pose this statue as you wish.
