First United Methodist Church, Denton, TX

Commissioned in 2006 and completed in 2007, this mosaic artwork is of "Jesus and the Children" and features recognizable members of the congregation as young people surrounding Jesus.  This piece is approximately 11 feet wide x 5 1/2 feet high arched.  It is constructed on a marine-grade multi-plywood form supplied by the architect, and is mounted into the top arch of the new Education Wing at First United Methodist Church of Denton, Texas.  If you look closely, besides the figures of Christ and the children, there is a black and white dog, red amarylis flowers and a crutch in the artwork.

The smaller cross was commissioned in 2012 as a going-away gift to departing Pastor Matt Gaston.

St. Matthew Cross. This free-handing cross is 16" wide x 23" high. The cross is constructed of zinc came, and the glass pieces are copper foiled. The exterior circle pieces are made up of glass recycled from the 1925 sanctuary windows at First United Methodist Church of Denton, Texas. The interior glass is made up of pieces from various church stained glass commissions, repairs and restoration projects I've done in the past 16 years.
