This is a repair of four stained and painted glass windows in the old sanctuary of First United Methodist Church of Lewisville, Texas. The old sanctuary has been recommissioned as a general purpose room, and the in-house child care business uses it as an indoor playground during inclimate weather. Consequently, these four stained glass windows were suffering from many broken and missing pieces of glass due to objects hitting the unprotected windows. Also, all four were suffering extensive bowing due to the use of soft lead.
Three of the windows were able to be removed from their casings and transported to the Art Glass Ensemble's studio for repair. The Eucharist window was unable to be removed, due to the use of too-strong putty during original installation. That window was repaired in-place at the church.
All four windows have been repaired and new protective Lexan installed.
